SOS alarm systems can also perform other useful functions such as the remote control of the funace in your home.  As an example, from any carphone or telephone you can turn on the furnace to heat the home to the temperature your selected on your thermostat before you left. You control the temperature while you are away. The same remote control features can be configured to allow you to check the status of conditions in the house while you are away, such as alarm system status, and temperature. A freeze sensor monitors the temperature of the home to notify you if the house should get too cold.
